I've been a Wikipedian since 2006-01-01. For awhile I was pretty active, especially with Ethiopian languages, but I've mostly dropped out.

I used to be a computational linguist at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. Now I'm retired, still doing research, plus various political things. Among other things, I'm interested in eco-socialism, Semitic languages, Guarani, Ethiopia, Paraguay, Palestine, socialism, social forums, and machine translation.
