From http://cdl.library.cornell.edu/moa/, I see that Davis Ross Locke is from Courtland County, and that as of 1869, his father, Nathaniel Locke was living in Courtland County.66.81.22.125 23:04, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Most sources state that Locke is from Vestal, and this is confirmed by http://www.newhorizonsgenealogicalservices.com/1835-census-ny-broome-vestal.htm, which shows a Nathaniel R. Lock (sic) living in Vestal in 1835. Vmanjr (talk) 16:34, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
