Editors who violate any listed restrictions may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offense.
An editor must be aware before they can be sanctioned.
With respect to any reverting restrictions:
Edits made solely to enforce any clearly established consensus are exempt from all edit-warring restrictions. In order to be considered "clearly established" the consensus must be proven by prior talk-page discussion.
Edits made which remove or otherwise change any material placed by clearly established consensus, without first obtaining consensus to do so, may be treated in the same manner as clear vandalism.
Clear vandalism of any origin may be reverted without restriction.
Reverts of edits made by anonymous (IP) editors that are not vandalism are exempt from the 1RR but are subject to the usual rules on edit warring. If you are in doubt, contact an administrator for assistance.
If you are unsure if your edit is appropriate, discuss it here on this talk page first. Remember: When in doubt, don't revert!

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Sinai Province → Ansar Bait al-Maqdis – There have been many discussions [[1]] on moving Ansar Bait al-Maqdis to ISIL-Sinai Province, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant presence in Sinai (Egypt), and ISIL in Sinai. They all failed, as the two are the same group and the new Sinai designation is clear in the ABM wiki. The two articles now contain duplicate information, and is causing confusion. Support as nominator. Magedq (talk) 15:50, 7 November 2015 (UTC)} Oppose Looks like I misread the consensus I cited for this move. Magedq (talk) 19:09, 7 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose; there is a clear delineation between the two groups. There were some members of ABM who didn't join Sinai Province and remained part of AQ. [2]. In addition, there is another militant group called Al Murabitoun that is loyal to AQ, [3]David O. Johnson (talk) 16:48, 7 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merged content from Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis to here. Both articles contain info of the same thing. Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis prety much changed it's name and propaganda.--Bolter21(talk to me) 16:40, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis no longer exists, but is useful as an historical article. Only part of it became Sinai Province, others split off into groups like Ajnad MisrGazkthul (talk) 06:14, 5 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
