Welcome to Ferien's talk page. I will generally respond here to comments that are posted here, rather than replying via your talk page (or the article's talk page, if you are writing to me here about an article), so you may want to watch this page until you are responded to, or let me know where specifically you'd prefer the reply. I will try to WP:PING you as well. Conversely if you are replying to something I've said on another talk page, reply there and include {{ping|Ferien}} to alert me. |

Question from FraGiovinetti (15:32, 30 April 2024)[edit]
Hello, I'm new here. I found on a page a mathematical formula that I believe needs a reference (which unfortunately I am unable to find and add myself). How can I point other users to this problem? Is it possible to add comments? For example, via the "talk" section? --FraGiovinetti (talk) 15:32, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi FraGiovinetti, welcome to Wikipedia. You can use the {{citation needed}} tag to point out where a reference may be required. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 22:50, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
Question from Slapplegod on Linear particle accelerator (17:53, 1 May 2024)[edit]
I was looking for sources in a section that had none, when I saw that the ENTIRE text was stolen off a website. Since this is my first time, I am unsure what to do. could you help? --Slapplegod (talk) 17:53, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- I left a note on @Slapplegod's talk page in reply to this. The page in question is a WP mirror, which copied all of the text from here, not the other way around. PianoDan (talk) 23:18, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Slapplegod, welcome to Wikipedia. I think PianoDan has answered your question here. Be careful for Wikipedia mirrors – unfortunately we have quite a few of them. --Ferien (talk) 22:49, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from Awaywthefaries (08:24, 6 May 2024)[edit]
How do I create a new article? --Awaywthefaries (talk) 08:24, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Awaywthefaries, welcome to Wikipedia. You can use the article wizard to create new articles. If you need any more help beyond that, please let me know. --Ferien (talk) 20:17, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
Hi Ferien - I created an article in 2008, but although I entered my username and password today, these were no longer recognized. I now have new credentials. Do I need to create a draft article this time or is it possible to skip the draft? If you can't answer this, can you direct me to where I should ask? Thank you very much! --Meekpanda (talk) 19:03, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Meekpanda, as your new account isn't autoconfirmed yet, you aren't able to create any new articles without skipping articles for creation. Make sure to review H:RP to see if you're able to get back into your old account, or I believe you can email cawikimedia.org. Thanks, :) --Ferien (talk) 20:16, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
Question from Broble4181 (02:21, 7 May 2024)[edit]
Hi, how long does it generally take for a draft to be approved? --Broble4181 (talk) 02:21, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Broble4181, there are currently 2530 pending submissions at articles for creation with the longest wait at the moment being around 2 months. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 22:00, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
hello; thank you! --Vima.kila (talk) 17:48, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from EvolvedLearner on Gaza polychoronos (13:41, 11 May 2024)[edit]

Question from Wikiology101 (20:14, 13 May 2024)[edit]
Hi! I've seen a lot of pages that Wikipedia said were supposedly "written like an advertisement", and I kind of see the advertising tone, but I have no idea how to help fix the tone. Can you give me some general tips on this? --Wikiology101 (talk) 20:14, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello Ferien -
I have encountered a problem with one of the references for the article I am creating, which is currently in my sandbox. I would like to include a piece from the Daily Telegraph (UK), 26 February 1988, Kitson, Robert, "Dolman leads old boys' tour." Unable to access it via Wikipedia or online, I visited the NY Public Library today, and they kindly emailed me a link. Unfortunately, this is via a proxy (Gale), requiring me to log in via my NYPL credentials, and I can't see how I can include the item. The link is: https://go-gale-com.i.ezproxy.nypl.org/ps/i.do?p=TGRH&u=nypl&id=GALE%7CIO0702455018&v=2.1&it=r&sid=bookmark-TGRH&asid=9cb0b329.
I do have an image of the story, but I can't see that there's any way of adding it as a reference if I save it as (say) a jpg.
I do hope you may be able to advise me here. Many thanks. --Meekpanda (talk) 23:23, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from The Happy Potter (05:08, 30 May 2024)[edit]
Hi, firstly I’m new at this! I don’t have a lot of time so I need to put links a such in?
The bungaroosh article was previous so inaccurate it was looked at as pure fiction.
The leading Sussex expert not on his 70,s is Neil England .
He actually knew the previous author of the wrong info posted , he was a planning officer with zero knowledge of bungaroosh.
I have know Neil England , where most of the revised info comes from, for thirty five year and he is highly respected in Brighton Hove and the coastal Sussex areas. He wrote a method to restor the banquet hall in the Royal Pavillion and was asked to repair it all. He has worked on hundreds of listed G1 and G2 buildings and is the go to consultant for bungaroosh.
The previous article was fantasy. Trains arrived in 1841 in Brighton and the regency period and the extensive use of multi Storey bungaroosh in 1811….. we laughed so much as ther were no old railway sleeper as there was no railway!
Please can you stop this other chap from constantly re editing the page putting back the nonsense? Maybe he is the author we can’t say but in the interests of Wikipedia it must be the truth! Thank you so much, I look forward to hearing from you. Steve --The Happy Potter (talk) 05:08, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- FYI I'm attempting to resolve this content dispute on the user's talk page. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 11:38, 1 June 2024 (UTC) (main author of the article in question)

Question from The Happy Potter (01:11, 2 June 2024)[edit]
Hi! I’m trying to get real facts uploaded about Bungaroosh but I’m being blocked by two senior members.
Can you help? The references actual quote Neil Englands article re bungaroosh and the IHBC refer to Neil as an expert in bungaroosh.
Is this Wikipedia just a club for bored people with no interest in actual facts? Just keeping their status high? I’m saddened by this bullying based on no facts. People in Sussex are paying triple the building insurance rates if they live in a bungaroosh building as the insurance companies quote Wikipedia! Please jump in an help me.
