The 2023–24 Bundesliga was the 61st season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football competition. It began on 18 August 2023 and concluded on 18 May 2024.[2][3] The fixtures were announced on 30 June 2023.[4]
On 14 April 2024, Bayer Leverkusen were crowned champions for the first time with five matches to spare following a 5–0 win over Werder Bremen, becoming the thirteenth different champion in Bundesliga history and ending previous holders Bayern Munich's run of eleven consecutive titles.[5][6]
Bayer Leverkusen would go on to become the first Bundesliga team to finish a season unbeaten, ending the campaign with a record of 28 wins and six draws.[7]

(C) Champions; (Q) Qualified for the phase indicated; (R) Relegated; (X) Assured of at least Europa League league phase; (Y) Assured of at least Conference League
Notes:
- ^ The Bundesliga gained an additional Champions League place as a result of Germany finishing as one of the two associations with the highest UEFA coefficient points in 2023–24. This prize is secondary to the rights of the Champions League and Europa League title holders. Consequently, in this season this berth could be passed to the sixth-placed team if the fifth-placed team, Borussia Dortmund, win the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League.
- ^ a b The 2023–24 DFB-Pokal winners also qualify for the Europa League league phase. If Bayer Leverkusen win the DFB-Pokal, the Europa League spot will be passed to the seventh-placed team, and the Conference League spot will be passed to the eighth-placed team.
