Clos Marey-Monge is the official vineyard of Château de Pommard, both located in the village of Pommard.

The historic vineyard is walled-up, as referenced by "Clos" (French for 'enclosure'[1]) in its name. The name also references the wines coming from the vineyard.

Clos Marey-Monge has a terroir of a total size of 20ha (0.2km^2),[2] split into seven separately planted zones of varied soil types:

  • Simone
  • Chantrerie
  • Les Paules
  • Grand Champs
  • 75 Rangs
  • Micault
  • Émilie

UNESCO World Heritage[edit]

Since July 2015, the area containing Clos Marey-Monge has been part of UNESCO world heritage as a protected Climat of Burgundy.[3]
