Scope[edit]

In my initial reading there are three companies from the 19th century with this name, but there's only one topic (and article). The Illinois Central founded separate companies in Illinois and Wisconsin, and within a year (before construction was finished) consolidated them into a single company. All three had the same name. The main line is still extant: Freeport Subdivision (needs slight revision). So far I don't see how the Milwaukee Road comes into the story. Mackensen (talk) 01:39, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
