In Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals, Dean recorded 4 pass deflections and his first career interception off fellow rookie Kyler Murray in the 30–27 win.[7] In Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons, Dean recorded five pass deflections in a 35–22 win.[8] In Week 16, during a 23–20 loss to the Houston Texans, Dean had one tackle, one pass deflection, and an interception off Deshaun Watson.[9]

2020 season[edit]
In Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers, Dean intercepted a pass thrown by Aaron Rodgers and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown during the 38–10 win. Dean played in all four games in the Buccaneers' playoff run that resulted in the team winning Super Bowl LV.[14][15]
