First What to Feature Joe Walsh?[edit]

The page states:

"'New Kid in Town', written by Don Henley, Glenn Frey and J.D. Souther, is a song by United States rock group Eagles from their 1976 album Hotel California, and the first to feature guitarist Joe Walsh ..."

This is ambiguous. Is "New Kid in Town" the first Eagles song to feature Joe Walsh? Or is "Hotel California" the first Eagles album to feature Walsh? Or both?

Were Hall & Oates the "new kids"?[edit]

I've read that the song was written in reaction to Hall & Oates moving the West Coast and making it big, thus Hall was the "new kid". The only written sources I've found for this claim are some Japanese-language blogs. Are there any other sources that support this claim? If so, it would be worth including in the article. -- Paul Richter (talk) 11:46, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bernie Taupin[edit]

There is no source for the claim that the song is about Bernie Taupin. It seems that the claim comes from Reddit - [1], and it appears that the last bit was attached to the end - and turned his cresting angst into yet another song—“New Kid in Town”—this time aimed squarely at Bernie. As can be seen, it's not in the book - [2]. If there are different versions of the book with different content, then that needs to be confirmed. I suggest giving it a little time for people to confirm this, and if is not confirmed, then it needs to be deleted. Hzh (talk) 10:50, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
