Excessive audio samples[edit]
Hi Dxneo, just a suggestion because I'd really like to see you get this article to GA status :) The Non-free content guideline advises against "an excessive number of short audio clips in a single article" let alone any audio clips at all (unless "omission would be detrimental to that understanding"). I would suggest that one is enough to get your point about genres across without cluttering the page and breaching copyright rules. —cybertrip👽 ( 💬 • 📝) 18:09, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you Cybertrip, I will remove it now now. I was taking reference from The Marshall Mathers LP. dxneo (talk) 18:19, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Release label(s)[edit]
Cybertrip, I think you were wrong here when you said, and I quote "Epic Records is a subsidiary of Sony Music; and this edit gives the false impression that the album was released on streaming platforms everywhere except South Africa." First of all, yes Epic is a subsidiary of Sony but it does not take any credit for Epic's work. Sony distributes music for Epic, and Fax is a management company (with respect to Tyla). I have gone through multiple similar articles such as Invasion of Privacy, only the LP was released in Japan by Warner Music Italy, does it give false impression that the album was released on streaming platforms everywhere except Italy? The release history says it was released in various countries/regions
and it does not specify which regions were excluded. Therefore, my point is, Tyla LP and vinyl were released in South Africa by Sony Music South Africa and track 13 was replaced by "Water (Marshmello remix)" on the vynil version. Any objections before I go on and add the information? dxneo (talk) 19:07, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Dxneo. The Japan row in Invasion of Privacy implies that the CD there came out a few days later than other countries, but the album was still available to stream in Japan when it came out initially. The label part doesn't really matter in that specific case since its merely pointing out the difference in dates. If you go forward with your edit I suggest that that you say "CD • digital download • streaming • vinyl", since all those methods were available in South Africa on 22 March. —cybertrip👽 ( 💬 • 📝) 07:10, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

2. Verifiable with no original research [edit]
- Are Breakroom Africa, DanceHallMag, the journalist dj, SlikourOnLife and EarOne reliable? Spotchecks performed on 13, 30, 51, and 56. Like the previous nomination, there are YouTube source but they are published by reliable sources. Earwig finds no obvious problems. 750h+ 03:41, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Breakroom Africa is most certainly reliable as it's information usually checks out. I've never used DancehallMag before, but it has been used over 250 times on en-wiki per dancehallmag.com . Content on the journalistdj matches that of slikouronlife which has been used over 165 times on en-wiki slikouronlife.co.za slikouronlife has been a news source for music for as long as I can remember, hosted by Slikour of Skwatta Kamp who sometimes interviews the musicians. Lastly, EarOne is indeed a reliable source, mostly used for radio dates. It is cited on a featured article "Your Power". dxneo (talk) 04:07, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
3. Broad [edit]
It's a long article. Comparing it to other album articles it seems broad, and it's pretty long for a new album so I believe this is a broadness pass. 750h+ 05:16, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
4. Neutral [edit]
5. Stable [edit]
- Because of the recent expansions I believe that after I promote this it'll be stable, so I'm going to stay neutral. 750h+ 05:16, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
6. Illustrated [edit]
All images have WP:ALT text. All four images are appropriately licensed, with one fair use image showing the album cover.
Verdict[edit]
@Dxneo: unless you have any other comments then i'd be happy to pass this for WP:GA status. 750h+ 05:16, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
Did you know nomination[edit]
- ... that Tyla (pictured) extended Tyla submission date in order to collaborate with Tems? Source: ref: One of the most powerful tracks is "No. 1," featuring Nigerian R&B star Tems. Tyla even pushed back the deadline to turn in the album so she could lock in the collab.
