My name is Arteum, I earned a PhD in quantum chemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006. I spent over three years at Columbia University as a postdoc. Currently I'm employed at a drug discovery software company named Schrödinger. I live in Midtown Manhattan.


My interests include quantum chemistry, theoretical physics, mathematics, biological sciences (especially biochemistry, molecular cell biology, neuroscience, genetics and genomics), literature in the form of novels and plays (including science fiction), linguistics (particularly typology), languages (I speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, and French fluently), chess, progressive rock, heavy metal, and classical music. I am striving to improve my knowledge of Swedish, Czech and Polish languages.


My computer-related fields of interest include Linux, C, Python, Django, SQL, LaTeX, git.


I am an atheist and an aspiring writer.
