Question from CherokeeJoannaDuncan (12:46, 24 May 2024)[edit]

Hello and ‘howdy’, I just edited my father’s life story, could you please give me your thoughts and feedback about this and if necessary what changes would you recommend for me to make? Thank you kindly, Joanna Duncan. --CherokeeJoannaDuncan (talk) 12:46, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @CherokeeJoannaDuncan, it is discouraged for editors to edit pages where they have a conflict of interest. Please see WP:COIE, too; where there is advice for editors with a COI (conflict of interest):
  1. Be transparent about your conflict of interest.
  2. Do not edit or create articles about yourself, your family or friends, your organization, your clients, or your competitors.
  3. Post suggestions and sources on the article's talk page, or in your user space.
  4. The role of editors is to summarize, inform, and reference; not promote, whitewash, or sell.
  5. Article subjects require significant coverage in independent reliable sources.
  6. State facts and statistics; don't be vague or general.
  7. Take time to get sources and policy right.
  8. Get neutral, uninvolved, disinterested editors to review your suggestions.
  9. Respect the volunteer community's time; avoid making protracted or repeated requests.

Question from Catskills-Buff on Draft:Phil Greenewald (21:12, 28 May 2024)[edit]

Hi! Pleasure to meet you.

I just created my first page, but I accidentally put a typo in the title. It should be "Phil Greenwald", not "Phil Greenwald". I can't figure out how to edit it. Do you know how? --Catskills-Buff (talk) 21:12, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. you would use the "Move" tool on the right-hand side of the page, although you should probably read WP:MOVE before moving any pages. Since you are new and do not have autoconfirmed user rights yet, I have moved the page for you. For articles in the main space, you can also place this template on the respective article talk page. Hope that helps. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 16:53, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zippy My mother tongue is French so I would prefer to start editing spelling mistake in French. I changed the language of the interface, but the suggestions of edits are still in English. Can you help? --Sand68 (talk) 16:07, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, maybe you could take a look at the French Wikipedia? GoldRomean (talk) 16:42, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
